Description
An expert in interactive experiences (AR/VR, video games), Glitchr Studio is, above all, a team of passionate individuals from Bordeaux who know how to apply their expertise to entertainment, education, and marketing. With its independent vision, the studio designs and creates original interactive experiences every day with the aim of surprising and providing users with a memorable and playful moment. Thanks to its technological arsenal in real-time immersion, whether in virtual/augmented reality or on more traditional digital platforms, Glitchr Studio takes advantage of every project to innovate and explore uncharted territories.
History
Early GameThomas and Gautier met up at university (IMAC engineering school) where they teamed up for several projects such as video games, 3D engines, mobile applications or websites as student projects. They also learned basics about communication, marketing and graphisms so they have all the tools required to build their own projects.
Mid GameAt the end of their studies, they decided to split up, going their own way into different specialities in order to acquire solid professional knowledge. After three years on their own they wanted to combine forces again to create their own studio. Gautier has now a professional background in video game industry (Asobo Studio, Kylotonn Games) and R&D (INRIA). He worked on innovative projects for big companies like Microsoft and The Foundry. Concerning Thomas, his experience at Casus Belli and as a freelancer has brought him to work on web and mobile projects for big brands such as Disney Japan, Crédit Agricole, Turner, Jardiland...
Late GameSince its founding in 2015, the studio has developed strong expertise in virtual reality technologies. In 2020, it released its game "Sky Sanctuary" for PC VR headsets. Since then, the team has specialized in developing games and experiences for standalone headsets like Meta Quest devices. In 2021, the studio established the startup "PerforMind," which offers a VR cognitive training tool for high-level athletes. Glitchr Studio is now working on "Taiko Frenzy," a rhythm game in VR inspired by Japanese folklore.
